Low Cycle Fatigue Properties in Forged TiAl Alloy Ti-43Al-5V-4Nb with Triplex Microstructure

The low cycle fatigue (LCF) properties of the TiAl alloy Ti-43Al-5V-4Nb (at.%) with triplex microstructure have been investigated. LCF tests were conducted at room temperature, 600 °C and 760 °C. result shows that test temperature has a small influence on life evaluated by total strain range. On contrast, stress range had good correlation ultimate tensile strength each temperature. Though elongation was relatively ductile, material parameter Coffin’s fitted to experimental data means brittle fracture. In alloys, brittle-to-ductile transition which is around 700 also affected rate.
